The FlaretoneTM is a custom guitar designed by Rob Taylor which was then engineered and built by Myka Guitars. The design features a semi-hollow construction made with choice Brazilian Rosewood and Honduran Mahogany. There is a single humbucker in the bridge position providing classic sei-hollow electric tone and a set of 5 piezo elements in between the ebony bridge and the spruce top positioned precisely beneath the bridge saddle for an acoustic voice. This is an extremely versatile instrument for both strumming acoustic styles and higher gain lead tones with the flick of a switch.
